Environmental protection, quality assurance and management systems – LANXESS sets high standards for all its organizational units. To monitor the practical implementation of these standards, independent specialists are regularly commissioned to carry out audits. The Industrial & Environmental Affairs, Treasury and Internal Auditing group functions work in close cooperation to prevent overlap and improve efficiency in the planning of audits. A shared database also makes it easier to plan audits and introduce necessary improvement activities.

Compliance check for safety
In all the LANXESS production units we conduct periodic HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) Compliance Checks in consideration of their risk and conditions.  Experts conduct spot checks to assess whether all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safe operation of facilities. In Germany, these compliance checks are conducted as an element of the legally required operational reviews that must be performed by incident and environmental protection officers.
