Dr. Heinz-Josef Fuellmann was born in 1953 in Ahrweiler, Germany. He studied Chemical Engineering at the Universities of Krefeld and Marburg and obtained his doctorate in Science in 1981.

In 1982 Fuellmann joined Bayer AG in Leverkusen, Germany, working in the field of application technology for plastics. From 1989 to 1992, he was Head of Technical Marketing in the Plastics Business Group at Bayer Japan Ltd. After returning to Germany, he assumed worldwide responsibility for Technical Marketing in the Plastics Business Group for electrical and electronic applications. From 1995, Fuellmann was responsible for the global marketing and sale of colorants for the coloration of plastics.

Since January 2004, Dr. Heinz-Josef Fuellmann has been Vice President Asia-Pacific for the Functional Chemicals business unit and located in Tokyo, Japan.

Heinz-Josef Fuellmann is married and has two children.
