The acronym HSEQ stands for health, safety, environmental protection and quality. When it comes to health and safety, environmental protection and quality, the same high standards apply at all LANXESS sites. Since 2005, the HSEQ management system has been adapted for global application and the quality and environmental policy has been completely overhauled. Responsibilities are set out in internal directives and are binding for all organizational units.

As a central management body, the HSEQ Committee is in charge of overseeing this crucial area of corporate policy. The committee is tasked with initiating and monitoring the implementation of HSEQ directives, strategies and programs, as well as with defining HSEQ objectives and monitoring their achievement. It is also responsible for the global strategy pertaining to LANXESS’s integrated ISO 9001- and ISO 14001-compliant quality and environmental management system. The HSEQ Committee includes all the heads of business units and group functions.
