This unit produces elastomers (synthetic rubber) for the tire and tread, shoe, and technical article markets. Opened in 1984, with the etilbenzene unit, the Triunfo plant, in Rio Grande do Sul State, covers 24,000 m2 and is part of the Rio Grande do Sul Petrochemical Center. It employs 63 people.

Its current production capacity is over 100,000 tons. Over 75% of its production supplies the Brazilian market, illustrating LANXESS’ commitment to the domestic market. The remainder of production is exported, mainly to Latin and North America.

Since 1994, the production processes at the Triunfo plant have been ISO 9001 certified, and in 1996 it was a pioneer on the petrochemical market in Brazil when it achieved ISO 14001 for its environmental management system.
