The who’s who of the Brazilian rubber scene, together with politicians and clients of the rubber industry, gathered in São Paulo on September, 23. LANXESS initiated and hosted the first “Rubber conference” in Brazil, the “LANXESS Rubber Day São Paulo”. More than 250 guests came and exchanged views on the challenges regarding protection of the environment, the innovative application of synthetic rubber, as well as the role of the automotive industry as the engine of the economy of Brazil.
Among the participants were Carlos Baruel, Supplier Director at Goodyear for Latin America, Márcio Utsch, CEO of Alpargatas and Roberto Falkenstein, Director of Research and Development at Pirelli, and many other leading representatives of the rubber industry.
Paulo Henrique Amorim
Is a long-time journalist who has worked at Manchete, Abril, Jornal do Brasil, Globo, Bandeirantes, and Cultura, and is now working at Record. He has spent time at Zaz, Terra, UOL, iG and today he is now in charge of this independent portal, located somewhere on the WEB 2.0.
He wrote the book "Plim-Plim – A Peleja de Brizola contra a Fraude Eleitoral". With a degree in Sociology and Politics, he has never made a living from either of the sciences. Born in Rio de Janeiro, with a daughter and wonderful grandson, Francisco, he supports Fluminense soccer team and Salgueiro as a samba school.
Fátima Turci
A journalist with 35 years’ experience in all media and business communications and over 10,000 interviews with personalities, businesspeople and politicians. Nowadays she is anchor of the program Economia&Negócios on RecordNews, television news show in Brazil.
She has worked at O Estado de S. Paulo, Jornal do Brasil, Ráio Eldorado, Exame magazine and set up the Broadcast, FaxPaper and NewsPaper services at Agência Estado. She has been communications director at large companies and trade associations, and a partner in two communications agencies. Since 1996 she has been dedicated to television: CNT/ Gazeta; Manchete and, since 2000, Rede Mulher.
