In 2010, LANXESS unveiled its new cultural initiative, the “LANXESS SNYO Classic”. The company is providing unique support for the Singapore National Youth Orchestra as part of a three-year partnership. The members of the orchestra are given the opportunity to work with acclaimed figures from the world of classical music. Joint rehearsals and close collaboration with stars such as violinist Lara St. John are designed to inspire gifted young people and lead them to completely new artistic heights.

Pioneering extracurricular music promotion
The Singapore National Youth Orchestra (SNYO) is a unique project. Membership is open to ambitious young musicians from elementary schools, high schools, junior colleges and other educational institutions. The SNYO aims to offer students unrivaled experience of teamwork and professional music tuition at the highest level. Many of today’s internationally acclaimed musicians were once members of this exceptional orchestra.
