
Ann Gidner was born in Stockholm, Sweden, on February 14, 1966. After studying in Paris for a diploma in French, she obtained an M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering in Sweden and France and a Bachelor in Business Administration in Sweden.
In 1992 she began her career at the Swedish power company Sydkraft AB, working first as a plant engineer and then being appointed head of Plant Engineering.
In 1994 Ann Gidner joined Cambrex Corporation, soon serving as Head of Plant Area for the fine chemicals production at the Karlskoga site in Sweden. In 1998 she transferred to Marketing to become Product Manager for New Products, two years later being appointed Director of New Products for the global Cambrex Pharma Business Unit. In 2002 she became Director of Marketing for the Cambrex Pharma Business Unit and subsequently for the Cambrex Pharma & Biopharma Business Unit.
In 2006 Ann Gidner joined LANXESS subsidiary Saltigo GmbH as head of Marketing & Sales for the Pharma business line.
Ann Gidner is married and has two children.
