Sweeney Sun was born in 1952 in Taipei, Taiwan.

He started his career in 1980 with Chung Teh, the trading company of Bayer Taiwan. In 1985 he transferred to Bayer AG for two years of internal training. From 1987 he was Sales Manager in the Rubber and Polyurethane Business Groups in Taiwan for eight years. From 1995 to 2002 he was Sales Manager with responsibility for the rubber business in Greater China.

Since 2003 he has been Marketing Manager for Technical Rubber in the APAC region.

Sweeney Sun is married with two children.
