Before changing to SGL Carbon SE, Mr. Koehler worked from 1971 to 1991 for the Hoechst Group, where his positions included Marketing Manager for Organic Chemicals at Hoechst UK Ltd. in Great Britain, Managing Director of Hoechst Colombiana S.A. in Colombia and latterly Head of Corporate Planning at the group's headquarters in Frankfurt.
