Dr. Stomberg worked for almost 30 years for the BP petroleum group, latterly as Chief Executive of the Shipping, Refining and Marketing business segment. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of The British Petroleum Co plc, London. Afterwards he was member in several executive and supervisory bodies of large European companies.
