The Performance Butadiene Rubbers (PBR) Business Unit is one of the world's major manufacturers of the synthesis rubber polybutadiene (PBR) and solution styrene-butadiene rubber (SSBR). The rubber products we produce are distributed under the brand names Buna® CB and Taktene® as well as Buna® VSL. The importance of polybutadiene rubber is immense: around 25% of the synthesis rubber produced in the world today is polybutadiene rubber. Around 70% is used in tire compounds, with another 20% used in plastics modification (HIPS, m-ABS). Our product portfolio allows us to offer first class products to our customers for these as well as other applications – for example, polybutadiene products catalyzed with neodymium, cobalt and lithium. The first choice in quality and first class in delivery dependability.
