Diese 2,93 % (2.434.716 Stimmrechte) sind der AllianceBernstein L.P. gemäß § 22 Abs. 1 Satz 1 Nr. 6 WpHG zuzurechnen.

Der Stimmrechtsanteil der AllianceBernstein Corporation, New York, USA, hat am 30.10.2008 die Schwelle von 3 % der Stimmrechte an der Lanxess AG unterschritten und betrug 2,93 % (2.434.716 Stimmrechte). Diese 2,93 % (2.434.716 Stimmrechte) sind der AllianceBernstein Corporation gemäß § 22 Abs. 1 Satz 1 Nr. 6 iVm Satz 2 WpHG zuzurechnen.

Der Stimmrechtsanteil der AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company, New York, USA, hat am 30.10.2008 die Schwelle von 3 % der Stimmrechte an der Lanxess AG unterschritten und betrug 2,93 % (2.434.716 Stimmrechte). Diese 2,93 % (2.434.716 Stimmrechte) sind der AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company gemäß § 22 Abs. 1 Satz 1 Nr. 6 iVm Satz 2 WpHG zuzurechnen.

Der Stimmrechtsanteil der AXA Equitable Financial Services, LLC, New York, USA, hat am 30.10.2008 die Schwelle von 3 % der Stimmrechte an der Lanxess AG unterschritten und betrug 2,93 % (2.434.716 Stimmrechte). Diese 2,93 % (2.434.716 Stimmrechte) sind der AXA Equitable Financial Services, LLC gemäß § 22 Abs. 1 Satz 1 Nr. 6 iVm Satz 2 WpHG zuzurechnen.

Der Stimmrechtanteil der AXA Financial, Inc., New York, USA, hat am 30.10.2008 die Schwelle von 3 % der Stimmrechte an der Lanxess AG unterschritten und betrug 2,93 % (2.434.716 Stimmrechte). Diese 2,93 % (2.434.716 Stimmrechte) sind der AXA Financial, Inc. gemäß § 22 Abs. 1 Satz 1 Nr. 6 iVm Satz 2 WpHG zuzurechnen.

Der Stimmrechtsanteil der AXA S.A., Paris, Frankreich, hat am 30.10.2008 die Schwelle von 5 % der Stimmrechte an der Lanxess AG unterschritten und betrug 4,66 % (3.880.514 Stimmrechte). Diese Stimmrechte sind der AXA S.A. in voller Höhe gemäß § 22 Abs. 1 Satz 1 Nr. 6 iVm Satz 2 WphG zuzurechnen.

Morgan Stanley, Wilmington, USA, informed us according to section 21, paragraph 1 of the German Securities Trading Act that as of October 24, 2008 they have exceeded the threshold of 3% of the voting rights in LANXESS AG and hold on that day 3.18% of the voting rights. This corresponds to 2,648,227 voting rights.

These voting rights are in their entirety attributable to Morgan Stanley pursuant to § 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 1 WpHG.

Oktober 2008 (in englischer Sprache)
Barclays Global Investors NA, San Francisco, USA, informed us according to section 21, paragraph 1 of the German Securities Trading Act that as of October 27, 2008 they fell below the threshold of 3% of the voting rights in LANXESS AG and hold on that day 2.958% of the voting rights. This corresponds to 2,461,520 voting rights.

Of these 2.958% of the voting rights (i.e. 2,461,520 shares with voting rights), BGI NA was attributed 0.021% of the voting rights (i.e. 17,777 shares with voting rights) in Lanxess AG pursuant to § 22 para. 1 sent.1 no. 6 in connection with § 22 para. 1 sent. 2 WpHG and 2.937% of the voting rights (i.e. 2,443,743 shares with voting rights) in Lanxess AG pursuant to § 22 para. 1 sent. 1 no. 6.

Oktober 2008
Gesellschaften der Greenlight-Gruppe, haben uns nach § 21 Abs. 1 WpHG mitgeteilt, dass sie am 6. Oktober 2008 die Schwelle von 5 % der Stimmrechte an der LANXESS AG überschritten haben und ihnen nun 5,01% der Stimmrechte zustehen. Das entspricht 4.169.050 Stimmrechtsaktien. Die Einzelheiten ergeben sich aus folgenden Meldungen:

Greenlight Capital Qualified, LP, New York, USA, hat uns nach § 21 Abs. 1 WpHG mitgeteilt, dass sie am 6. Oktober 2008 die Schwelle von 5 % der Stimmrechte an der LANXESS AG, Leverkusen überschritten hat und ihr nun 5,01% der Stimmrechte zustehen. Dies entspricht 4.169.050 Stimmen. Davon sind der vorstehend genannten Gesellschaft 3,40 % der Stimmrechte nach § 22 Abs. 2 Satz 1 WpHG zuzurechnen. Dies entspricht 2.829.650 Stimmen.

b)
Greenlight Capital, LP, New York, USA, hat uns nach § 21 Abs. 1 WpHG mitgeteilt, dass sie am 6. Oktober 2008 die Schwelle von 5 % der Stimmrechte an der LANXESS AG, Leverkusen überschritten hat und ihr nun 5,01 % der Stimmrechte zustehen. Dies entspricht 4.169.050 Stimmen. Davon sind der vorstehend genannten Gesellschaft 4,63 % der Stimmrechte nach § 22 Abs. 2 Satz 1 WpHG zuzurechnen. Dies entspricht 3.852.280 Stimmen.

c)
David Einhorn, USA, hat uns nach § 21 Abs. 1 WpHG mitgeteilt, dass er am 6. Oktober 2008 die Schwelle von 5 % der Stimmrechte an der LANXESS AG, Leverkusen überschritten hat und ihm nun 5,01 % der Stimmrechte zustehen. Dies entspricht 4.169.050 Stimmen. Davon sind David Einhorn 3,02 % der Stimmrechte (entspricht 2.512.880 Stimmen) nach §§ 22 Abs. 1 Satz 1 Nr. 6, 22 Abs. 1 Satz 2 WpHG und 1,99 % der Stimmrechte (entspricht 1.656.170 Stimmen) nach § 22 Abs. 1 Satz 1 Nr. 1 WpHG zuzurechnen. Zugleich ist für alle 5,01 % der Stimmrechte (entspricht 4.169.050 Stimmen) der Zurechnungstatbestand nach § 22 Abs. 2 Satz 1 WpHG erfüllt.

d)
DME Advisors, L.P., New York, USA, hat uns nach § 21 Abs. 1 WpHG mitgeteilt, dass sie am 6. Oktober 2008 die Schwelle von 5 % der Stimmrechte an der LANXESS AG, Leverkusen überschritten hat und ihr nun 5,01% der Stimmrechte zustehen. Dies entspricht 4.169.050 Stimmen. Davon sind der vorstehend genannten Gesellschaft 0,71 % der Stimmrechte (entspricht 588.800 Stimmen) nach § 22 Abs. 1 Satz 1 Nr. 6 und 4,30 % der Stimmrechte (entspricht 3.580.250 Stimmen) nach § 22 Abs. 2 Satz 1 WpHG zuzurechnen.

e)
Greenlight Capital, LLC, New York, USA, hat uns nach § 21 Abs. 1 WpHG mitgeteilt, dass sie am 6. Oktober 2008 die Schwelle von 5 % der Stimmrechte an der LANXESS AG, Leverkusen überschritten hat und ihr nun 5,01 % der Stimmrechte zustehen. Dies entspricht 4.169.050 Stimmen. Davon sind der vorstehend genannten Gesellschaft 5,01 % (entspricht 4.169.050 Stimmen) nach § 22 Abs. 2 Satz 1 WpHG zuzurechnen, wovon 1,99 % (entspricht 1.656.170 Stimmen) der Stimmrechte zugleich nach § 22 Abs. 1 Satz 1 Nr. 1 WpHG zuzurechnen sind.

Greenlight Capital, Inc., New York, USA, hat uns nach § 21 Abs. 1 WpHG mitgeteilt, dass sie am 6. Oktober 2008 die Schwelle von 5 % der Stimmrechte an der LANXESS AG, Leverkusen überschritten hat und ihr nun 5,01% der Stimmrechte zustehen. Dies entspricht 4.169.050 Stimmen. Davon sind der vorstehend genannten Gesellschaft 2,31 % der Stimmrechte (entspricht 1.924.080 Stimmen) nach § 22 Abs. 1 Satz 1 Nr. 6 WpHG und 2,70 % der Stimmrechte (entspricht 2.244.970 Stimmen) nach § 22 Abs. 2 Satz 1 WpHG zuzurechnen.

Heute informierte Barclays uns, dass Tochtergesellschaften von Barclays Global Investors - zum Stand von Heute - 6,09% der LANXESS Aktien verwalten.
