The Global Product Strategy, or GPS for short, is the key concept for the responsible handling of chemicals. The International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) has set itself the ambitious goal of establishing globally unified standards for product stewardship to prevent chemicals from having adverse effects on people and the environment. Included among the objectives is the aim is by 2018 to compile safety-relevant basic information and risk assessments for all substances. These form the basis of specific recommendations for the safe and environmentally compatible use of these substances along the complete product chain.

LANXESS supports the Global Product Strategy
LANXESS has been a strong supporter of the ICCA initiative from the very beginning. In the past the company already introduced appropriate standards to ensure the safe application of LANXESS chemicals. As part of global HSEQ-Management therefore, all products and processes are extensively checked for possible risks and – unwanted – side-effects.
