Demonstration facility installed for processing Tepex using hybrid molding
LANXESS subsidiary Bond-Laminates GmbH has taken into operation a demonstration cell for processing Tepex continuous-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites at the Brilon site. This enables Tepex to be both formed in a fully automated, near-series process and also simultaneously formed and overmolded in a hybrid molding process.
Precise simulation of cooling behavior
The Tepex thermoplastic composites from LANXESS are becoming increasingly popular for the lightweight construction of automobiles. Front ends, brake pedals, undercarriage components, seat shells and carriers for infotainment modules, for example, are now being manufactured with continuous-fiber-reinforced composites.
