Mr. Laufs has been working as an independent consultant since the beginning of 2005. Before that, he was a member of the Executive Board of the Forum für Zukunftsenergien e.V. (Forum for Future Energies) in Berlin for two years. He gained his professional experience mainly with the Shell Group, working, among other places, in Great Britain and the Netherlands. All in all, he worked for the group for 30 years, latterly as Chairman of the Board of Management of Deutsche Shell AG.
