Success through diversity

Our global alignment is a key strategic advantage. LANXESS currently employs people from 79 countries across the world. Our Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) project is aimed at enhancing diversity at LANXESS and using its positive effects to benefit our company and our employees. It helps us to become more innovative and efficient and to attract and retain promising talents. This project is focused on the dimensions of age, gender and nationality.

 

Our D&I Dashboard provides detailed analysis of data pertaining to these three dimensions and enables us to see what progress is being made at country, regional and global level so we can define appropriate strategic measures.

 

 

Our D&I measures also make an important contribution to achieving our target set in 2012 as part of the DAX 30 voluntary commitment to increase the proportion of women in middle and upper management worldwide to 20% by 2020. The current figure is 18.28%. The female share in management positions (total management workforce) is currently 21.9 percent globally. Overall, 18.6 percent of more than 19,000 employees worldwide are women (as of December 31, 2017).
